As you explore our site and become familiar with the variety of services that are provided by the Fire District, you will get a glimpse into the lives of the fine and dedicated group of professionals that proudly serve the citizens and visitors of Northeast Johnson County Kansas. Our well trained and highly motivated crews respond to over 5000 calls for help and service each year. Part of our mission is to provide highly efficient service while maintaining fiscal responsibility to the 50,000 citizens who reside in the eight cities we serve.
Our Mission and Values
Activity Report- July 2017
July’s storms hit the District and surrounding areas hard and kept our crews very busy. Downed power lines and tree branches generated numerous calls due to hazardous conditions and also were the cause of a few house fires both in the District and in neighboring areas to which we provide support. Flooding caused by the excessive amount of rainfall resulted in calls for assistance as motorists found themselves in hazardous conditions on the streets. Our crews are well trained and ready to respond to these types of situations just as they are to the more routine calls we receive. This month we were also able to participate in various community events and provide information to residents about fire safety and prevention as well as the services we provide.
